Preview Week: September 23-29

Get a free preview of all the new group fitness classes for fall quarter! Preview Week is your one opportunity each quarter to sample the full list of offerings at no cost. This is your chance to try before you buy a group fitness pass. With all our new class additions this year, there is no better time to join our group fitness program.  

All participants must have a valid Stanford ID or access to our recreation facilities. You can check your eligibility here. Classes are drop-in and first come, first served. Please dress appropriately for each class, and it is always a good idea to bring water and a towel.

Please Note: Redwood City’s preview week runs from September 23-27 (as opposed to the main campus September 23-29) because the facility is not open on weekends.

Free Fitness Week vs Preview Week

If you can’t get enough free fitness, don’t miss our Free Fitness Week, which takes place during the gap between quarters. The summer gap is from September 4 – 13, and the fall gap is currently scheduled for December 9-13.

In contrast to Preview Week, Free Fitness Week is a limited schedule that combines select group fitness classes into one week. There are no tiers (Cardinal/Cardinal Cycling/Platinum) and only certain classes are available. Preview Week, on the other hand, allows you to choose from all current offerings on each tier schedule to get a preview of what it would be like to buy a pass.

Both weeks are free to Stanford Affiliates, and all classes are taught by our experienced instructors. Take advantage of both weeks each quarter, Free Fitness Week at the end and Preview Week at the beginning, and make sure to buy your group fitness pass to enjoy the classes all quarter long.


Group Fitness Pass

After Preview Week ends, don’t forget to buy your group fitness pass so that you don’t miss out on a single week of classes. Starting this Fall 2019, there are three group fitness passes available for purchase on the main campus and one group fitness pass at Redwood City.

  • Cardinal Pass: This pass can used at both the main campus and Redwood City campus and gives you access to all drop-in (non-reservation based) classes.
  • Cardinal Cycling Pass: A new pass option for Fall 2019 that gives you access to all Cardinal Pass drop-in classes, plus reservation-based indoor cycling classes.
  • Platinum Pass: This pass lets you take classes from both the Cardinal Cycling and Cardinal Pass schedules in addition to premium, reservation-based classes like F45 and TRX.
