BeWell Berry Breakdown

What is the BeWell Program?

An employee incentive program that encourages Stanford employees and their families to commit to health and wellness. You can earn rewards by participating in the program, regardless of where you receive your medical benefits.

Who qualifies for the BeWell program?

Benefits-eligible staff and faculty at Stanford, and their spouses/domestic partners.

What are the components of the program?

Everything begins with the SHALA, or Stanford Health and Lifestyle Assessment. This is a 30-minute online questionnaire that helps you understand the impacts of your lifestyle on your health. After completing your SHALA, you can start earning financial incentives and using other exclusive perks.

After completing the SHALA, you can work towards other parts of the program. Click on each step to learn more about the requirements.

  1. Wellness Profile – ($200 employee; $220 spouse)
  2. Engagement – ($260 employee)
  3. Berries – ($100 employee)

What are BeWell Berries?

If you are a benefits-eligible staff or faculty member at Stanford, you can earn up to a $100 (taxable) incentive for completing six Berries during the designated time frame each year. The current time frame is January 3 and November 30, 2019.

You can earn Berries by participating in health-related activities both on and off campus. These can be workshops, classes, or other fitness options.
