Avery Aquatic Center Locker Closure

The Avery Aquatic Center locker rooms will be closed until Fall Quarter of 2023.

Starting Monday, March 20, the Avery Aquatic Center Locker Rooms will be closed until Fall Quarter of 2023.

The Avery Aquatic Center construction project is part of a broader University and DAPER initiative to remodel the facility. This includes recreational locker rooms, sport-specific locker rooms, coaching offices, and meeting spaces. The anticipated reopening date is the fall quarter of 2023.

We know this impacts your swimming routines, especially given it coincides with our renovation at Avery Rec Pool (285 Santa Teresa St.). Both are important projects that will provide much-needed modernization and improvements for the community to enjoy.

We'd like to share the following accommodations to best serve your needs:

  1. Showers are available at the diving well for recreational swimmers (rinse only-- no soap, shampoo, etc.).
  2. Large tents have been placed on the pool deck for changing. 
  3. Lockers will be available for use on the pool deck.
  4. Restrooms are available upstairs at AAC for changing.

    *The pool closes 15 minutes before facility closure
