Amaya Batiza, M.A
My fitness journey began in the sport of swimming where I competed for 20 years of my life. This instilled in me a love and fascination for human movement. I love helping people to reach their full potential through exercise and wellness practices. I have twelve years of coaching experience in a wide variety of environments. I have taught swim lessons to people ranging in age from infant to adults. I worked as a CrossFit coach and corporate wellness provider for Google. I worked with Las Positas college as an assistant coach for the swim team as well as instructed in the kinesiology department. I obtained a masters of the arts in Kinesiology from St. Mary’s College of CA. I am once again attending St Mary's College of CA to pursue an additional graduate degree in counseling, LMFT, PCC. Some of my main principles as an instructor are overall wellness, including mental health, nutrition and providing uplifting, injury preventing workouts. My current passion and main form of training is powerlifting and Olympic lifting.
