In observance of Thanksgiving next Thursday (11/26), there will be no virtual fitness classes held 11/23 – 11/27 and will resume on 11/30. The last day of virtual fitness is 12/11.
BeWell participants may earn up to one Berry for participating in a minimum of six Virtual Recreation classes per quarter for at least 30 minutes per class session. Participation will be tracked via Zoom meeting reports. To receive Berry credit, BeWell participants must include their first and last name, Stanford email address, and employee ID upon registering for each class. Berries will be credited two weeks after the end of the quarter

Ashtanga Yoga is a vigorous style of yoga with traditional Indian roots. We use breath and movement together to practice, open the body, and quiet the mind. In this course, we will explore the foundations of the practice: breath, gazing, and how to move through the physical postures in a safe way. We will also touch upon the philosophy of yoga itself. Participants can expect to come away with a deeper understanding of ashtanga and a yoga practice that they can continue in further classes or on their own. All levels welcome!
This mat-based workout is designed to help participants develop long, lean muscles, gain core strength and stability, and increase mind-body awareness. Equipment use will be minimal, and household items can also be used.
This fun & high energy fitness class focuses on toning, sculpting, and lengthening all muscle groups utilizing minimal props, and your own body-weight & core strength. An infusion of barre, Pilates, strength, and flexibility training choreographed to the beat of the music. This total body conditioning workout is designed to transform and sculpt your entire body. All fitness levels welcomed, modifications will be provided.
This class works all muscle groups in 50 minutes. Using barre-inspired exercises you will strengthen and lengthen your muscles, increase your flexibility, and improve your balance. Please be prepared with a steady surface (chair/barstool/counter) and some light hand weights if you would like.
Within a flowing sequence of postures, this class focuses on alignment, balance, and concentration connecting breath to movement. Participants will increase strength and flexibility.
Hatha Yoga is a well-balanced yoga practice, allowing you room to breathe, tune into your body and experience the yoga asanas with steadiness and ease.
Increase and improve your flexibility, mobility, strength and stamina. Practicing these yoga poses will build resilience and help prevent injuries. Please be prepared with a yoga block or blanket, or a substitute, if possible.
This is a total body, heart pumping, aerobic and strength conditioning workout. This interval-based class combines full-body strength training with high-intensity cardio bursts designed to tone your body and improve your endurance. The class ends with 15 minutes of core/abs and 5 minutes of stretching.
This is a powerful, energetic form of yoga where participants move fluidly from one posture to the next while connecting their breath to their movements. It incorporates strength, flexibility, balance, and both physical and mental stamina. The class is open to all levels offering modifications and the opportunity to try on inversions.
