What is the Move With You fitness program?

Mobile fitness program where Recreation and Wellness (RecWell) brings a fitness class to your department or group by request.

This program is separate from our regular, quarterly fitness offerings. We offer many of the same fitness classes that you find on our quarterly group fitness schedule, like yoga, boot camp, Pilates, Tai Chi, Zumba. We can also tailor a fitness class to your group’s needs, e.g., yoga & stretch, yoga & meditation.

Who is eligible/who do we serve?

Stanford-affiliated departments or groups.

How does the program work?

  • RecWell works directly with a representative from your Stanford-affiliated group or department.
  • Your group lets RecWell know your specific group fitness class requests.
  • RecWell works to secure the best instructor fit.
  • Please note that we ask for at least four weeks notice to set up a program, activity or event.
  • For in-person offerings, class capacity is dictated by the space size, safety protocols, etc.

If your group uses a RecWell-managed facility, we assist with:

  • Booking facility reservation.
  • Facility access.
  • Potential equipment use (stereo, mats, weights, bands, etc.).

If your group uses your own/non-RecWell facility, your group is responsible for: 

  • Booking facility reservation. 
  • Facility use approvals (including music, moving furniture).
  • Providing own mats (small weights or bands may be able to be provided).

Pricing

Fee-per-session model. Pricing is for a single instructor.

* 15% discount for 6 or more sessions.

Pricing is different for tennis, pickleball. Please complete the request form and we will contact you with more information.

Cancellation

RecWell charges the cost of a single session if cancellation notice is less than one week.

Waivers

  • RecWell requires signed waivers from each participant prior to activity. 
  • RecWell can set up a registration link so that participants can sign the waiver as part of the registration process.

Payment

  • PTA Journal, PCard or Credit card.
  • Single payment in full for services. (RecWell does not accept separate payments from individual participants for this program.)
